Brookland is one of the best kept ‘secrets’ in DC, although it’s growing in popularity by leaps and bounds every year. Brookland currently has a low population density, and a growing center of food, shops and commercial along 12th St. A 2 Rivers Team favorite in the neighborhood is Brookland’s Finest Bar and Kitchen located at 12th and Jackson St. NE. Talk about YUM!

Other wonderful features of the neighborhood include an architectually amazing Basilica, a Francisan Monastery with an amazing plant nursery, Catholic University, The Metropolitian Branch Trail (MBT) with breweries and eateries. Get your exercise and your fun all on one gorgeous trail.

Brookland is also situated in an area of DC that makes getting to almost anywhere in DC crazy easy. It’s just north of the 3 Sisters (LeDroit Park, Bloomingdale, and Eckington), east of Parkview and Petworth, and south of Woodrige and Mt Rainier, MD.
