Langdon/Woodridge, DC
Langdon’s village extends along Rhode Island Ave and up into its northern sister neighborhood, Woodridge. While historical surveys of D.C. recognize Langdon as a neighborhood dating back to at least 1903, it has always been referred to as “Woodridge South” given how close and intertwined the two neighborhoods are. Langdon also borders Brookland to the West and Brentwood to its south.
Langdon neighborhood is a musicians’ paradise boasting the amazing Echo Stage where mega-stars such as Miley Cyrus, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Jason Mraz, Shawn Mendes, and many more, have performed. Langdon also has the world-famous Go-Go icon Chuck Brown Memorial within Langdon Park and beside the Langdon recreation center. The United States National Arboretum is open year-round from 8-5 and is just south of Langdon.
